It is misused as an insult. Turkeys are slaughtered by people who do not know the truth about wild turkeys. In fact, I think a lot of things make Turkey's walk a wonderful sight. Turks are very, very smart. They are very difficult to fix. They are very resistant and tough. It is very difficult to make bagged turkey. In fact, they were so short and brilliant that Benjamin Franklin suggested Turkey, our national route, instead of the eagle. So if someone insults you like a turkey, be thankful. So you smile because now you know the real truth and you know the truth.

I was a teenager in the 70's and we use that word all the time. It's not bad.
It took me a minute to think that people are stupid. Keep it very small.
It doesn't have to be bad, you just have to be more discriminating with the help you render toward other people. This can mean stupid or uncomfortable.
